Dr. Mike Kahn
Mike Kahn, DDS has wanted to be a dentist since the young age of seven. The caring manner and kindness his family dentist showed toward him as a child led him to pursue dentistry.
“When people come to my practice my intent is to treat them as family. I treat them the way I would want to be treated.”
Mike attended the UMKC School of Dentistry, graduating in 1992, and completed a hospital-based residency program in St. Louis in 1993. Following his residency program, Mike and his wife, Staci, returned to the Kansas City area – specifically Overland Park to become a practicing dentist.
Mike opened Kahn Family Dental Care in September 2007 with a very simple and straightforward mission statement: To treat patients as if they were family.
Mike grew up in St. Louis, and met his wife, Staci, who had graduated from Shawnee Mission South High School, while in dental school. They have four children; the oldest is a daughter, followed by three boys.
When not actively being a dentist, Mike is usually found doing his ‘real job’, being a dad. “I enjoy being a supportive husband and father. I enjoy reading, cooking, watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball and running.” Exercising with his family in activities like running or going for a bike ride together are Mike’s favorites.
